The 8-month long project was undertaken in two phases, phase 1 and 2. The Mtuba Sports Complex stadium was constructed, supported by reinforced concrete columns on a 7.5×7.5m grid with dead and live loads of 1350KN and 350KN respectively.

The scope of work also included the construction of:

  • a 125m long x 70m wide multi-purpose sports field (soccer and rugby)
  • Two combo-courts including a basketball, volleyball, and netball court
  • Two changing rooms (a female and male change room including ablution facilities)
  • Septic tank for the ablution facilities.
  • 800m long x 1.8m high clear view fencing and motor gate.
  • Three-tier steel reinforced spectator/sitting stands, two each for the combo courts and the multi-purpose sports field.
